Store Purchases

When you purchase digital downloads or prints from our store, we collect:

• Customer name: For order processing and receipts
• Email address: To send download links and order confirmations
• Order details: Items purchased, quantities, and pricing information
• Payment information: Processed securely through Stripe (we never see your full card details)
• Order ID and transaction details: For record-keeping and customer support

Database Storage

All booking and order information is securely stored in our database hosted on Supabase (a secure, GDPR-compliant hosting service). This allows us to manage your enquiries, process orders, and maintain records as required by law.

How We Use Your Information

Booking Information

We use your booking information to:

• Respond to your photography service enquiry
• Schedule and coordinate your photography session
• Communicate about your booking and any changes
• Provide the photography services you've requested
• Maintain records of our business transactions

Order Information

We use your order information to:

• Process your purchase and payment
• Send you digital download links (valid for 24 hours)
• Send order confirmations and receipts
• Provide customer support
• Maintain financial records as required by HMRC
• Prevent fraud and ensure payment security

We never sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

EmailJS - Email Delivery

When you submit the booking form or purchase from our store, your information is processed by EmailJS, a secure email delivery service. Stripe - Payment Processing

When you make a purchase from our store, payment information is processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your full credit card details. Stripe collects:

• Payment card information
• Billing address
• Email address
• Transaction details

Note: When you purchase digital downloads from our store, we collect your email address to send download links. These links are valid for 24 hours and your order information is retained for record-keeping purposes.

Supabase - Database Hosting

Your booking and order information is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase, a cloud database provider. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and uses industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit. View Supabase privacy policy.

How Long We Keep Your Information

• Booking enquiries: We retain booking enquiries for 12 months. If no booking is confirmed, enquiries may be deleted after this period unless you request earlier deletion.
• Confirmed bookings and client records: Kept for 7 years from the date of service for tax and accounting purposes, in compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Store orders: Order records are retained for 7 years for tax purposes and to maintain transaction history. This includes order details, customer information, and payment records (excluding full payment card details).
• Digital downloads: Download links expire after 24 hours. However, your order record (showing what you purchased) is retained as part of our financial records.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data - request a copy of what we have
• Correct your data - update any incorrect information
• Delete your data - request we remove your information
• Object to how we use your data

Data Security
